QCAA was founded in 2001 by Coach Ed Addie. It was originally designed to be a program for Basketball Tournaments, Camps and Leagues. QCAA had some of the more prominent Travel Basketball programs from 2003 – 2018.

Some of the players that have played for QCAA include
Grant Williams-Tennessee/Charlotte Hornets, Wendell Moore-Duke/Charlotte Hornets, Patrick Williams-Florida State/Chicago Bulls, Trey Wertz-Notre Dame, Brandyn Curry-Harvard, Javonte Douglas-Old Dominion, Donte Clark-UMASS, Jamarious Burton-PITT, and DJ Burns-NC State, BJ Mack-South Carolina, and Austin Swartz-Miami (FL) among many others.

QCAA has hosted some of the largest and most competitive basketball tournaments in NC, including The Rumble and The QCAA Invitational. In the spring and summer of 2025, we will begin hosting a series on 1-Day Tournaments.

Also, during the summer of every year in the month of July, we do Coach Addie’s Summer Basketball Camp. The camp is designed for beginners and advanced players ages 9-14.

During the Fall, QCAA hosts the Run & Shoot Fall Basketball League. Local High School teams enter the league looking for an opportunity to get their players together in the pre-season and play games together.

Coach Addie just completed year number 6 as the Head Coach at Westminster Catawba Christian School. During his first year at WCCS, the team went 20-5 and he became the first coach to win 20 games in school history. Some of the players that have played for Coach Addie at WCCS.
